Which Bangkok airport am I flying into — BKK or DMK?
Bangkok has two airports. Suvarnabhumi (code BKK) handles most long-haul and full-service international flights; Don Mueang (code DMK) is the low-cost hub used by AirAsia, Nok Air, Lion Air and many regional carriers. How does the airport meet & greet actually work?
You clear immigration and collect your bags, follow the signs to arrivals, and your driver is standing there holding a board with your name. At Suvarnabhumi the meeting point is Gate 3 on the arrivals level; at Don Mueang it is Terminal 1 arrivals by Door 6. Why does a Don Mueang transfer cost more than Suvarnabhumi?
Don Mueang sits on the north side of the city, so most trips into central Bangkok cover a little more distance and time than the same run from Suvarnabhumi. What if I land late at night or my flight is delayed?
