Airport Meet and Greet in Bangkok
“Meet & greet” means a driver is standing inside the arrivals hall holding a board with your name on it when you walk out — no phone calls, no hunting for a taxi rank, no haggling. You’ve already agreed the price before you flew, and the car is waiting whether your flight is early or three hours late. Here’s exactly how the pickup works at both Bangkok airports.
What “meet & greet” actually means
There are two very different things a transfer company can mean by “airport pickup.” The cheap version is a curbside pickup: the driver texts you a number plate and you go find the car outside. Meet & greet is the better version — the driver parks, walks into the terminal, and waits inside the arrivals hall by name. After a long flight, that difference is the whole point: you clear immigration, collect your bag, walk out, and someone is already there for you.
Where the driver waits at Suvarnabhumi
At Suvarnabhumi (BKK), your driver waits on the 2nd floor arrivals hall at Gate 3. It’s one of the busiest and easiest meeting points to find — there’s a long row of exit gates numbered along the hall, and Gate 3 is a standard rendezvous that every regular driver knows. You’ll see people holding name boards there. Look for yours.
If you want the full rundown of vehicles and fixed fares from here, see our Suvarnabhumi airport transfer page — fares start from ฿600 per car.
Where the driver waits at Don Mueang
At Don Mueang (DMK), the meeting point is Terminal 1, Door 6 on the arrivals level. Don Mueang is smaller and simpler than Suvarnabhumi, so it’s genuinely hard to get lost — but Door 6 is the agreed spot, and your driver will be there with your board. Full details and fares are on the Don Mueang airport transfer page, from ฿800 per car.
The name board and how to find each other
Before you travel, we ask for the name you want on the board — usually your surname or your booking name. When you walk into arrivals, scan the line of people holding signs. If there’s a crowd, don’t panic and rush past; drivers hold the board up and stay put rather than wandering, so it’s easier to find them if you slow down and read the boards.
We also send you the driver’s name, photo where possible, and phone number the day before, so you have a backup way to connect.
Flight tracking and free waiting time
This is the part that saves your trip when things go wrong. We track your flight by number, so if you land early, late, or get diverted, the driver already knows before you’ve even turned your phone off airplane mode. You don’t pay a penalty for an airline delay.
There’s also a generous free wait after landing built in, to cover immigration queues and baggage. Suvarnabhumi immigration in particular can take a while at peak times — the driver waits through it at no extra charge. You’ll find the exact included waiting time listed on our prices page.
| Airport | Meeting point | Fare from | Flight tracked |
|---|---|---|---|
| Suvarnabhumi (BKK) | 2nd floor arrivals, Gate 3 | ฿600 / car | Yes |
| Don Mueang (DMK) | Terminal 1, Door 6 | ฿800 / car | Yes |
What to do if you can’t find your driver
First, don’t leave the terminal and don’t take a different taxi — that’s the one mistake that turns a small mix-up into a stressful one. Instead:
- Stay near the agreed gate or door and take a slow look along the row of name boards.
- Call or message the driver on the number we sent you the day before.
- If you can’t reach the driver, message us directly and we’ll connect you immediately.
Because we’re tracking your flight, we already know you’ve landed, so a quick message is usually all it takes.
Why meet & greet beats the public taxi rank
The public taxi rank is fine when it’s quiet and the driver runs the meter. But after a night flight, or with a family and a luggage trolley, meet & greet wins on the things that actually matter:
- No queue — the car is already assigned and paid at a fixed price.
- No haggling — the fare was agreed before you flew, tolls included.
- No language barrier — your exact hotel or onward destination is already logged.
- No surge — unlike ride-hailing apps, the price doesn’t jump when several flights land together.
You’re paying a little more than a quiet-time metered taxi, and you’re buying certainty. If that’s the trade you want, see our prices or send us your flight number and we’ll have someone at the gate holding your name.
